I'm sorry I've not been blogging much this past couple of years, but fear not (or fear, depending who you are), I shall return in 2020.
Here is a picture of my most Christmas-y plant - Little John Callistemon, which keeps getting better and better each year and thrives on very light pruning and general neglect.
And another, this time a snapshot of the next door neighbours' decorations. They have been entertaining the local children (large and small) and raising money for local charities for decades and continue to do so despite the fact that Santa suffered a stroke some time ago, which has been quite debilitating for him. The photo doesn't do justice to the lights, which look amazing. Santa's daughter made the kangaroos :)

Greetings from the UK. It will be an interesting year: people here seem to have woken up to the dangers posed by climate change and are firmly convinced that someone else ought to do something about it.

I'm sort of curious what's up at "Watts Up", now that it's not only obvious that they've been dead wrong about climate change, but that an increasing majority of people now agree that it's obvious. I don't want to actually visit the site, but I enjoyed reading about it through you. I suppose they're still spewing the same nonsense, probably even more shrilly, and haven't, say, apologized for all the misinformation they spread?

When I go there it seems very old and boring denial, and there's a fair bit more politics and sexism etc. than climate or weather. I did see an "ice age cometh" article recently, so you're right - no apologies and the same old silliness.
