I did it and my conclusions are diametrically opposed to Zimmerman's. It does, though, raise an interesting point, in that we are defined as people in terms of our presence in the world and therefore our understanding of the world, so there is a question of priority over whether we protect our identity against the incursions of worldly contradictions of our sense of self, or remain open to the possibility of self-adjustment in the face of the challenge to our being. <br />Which is to say, in applying Heidegger's understanding to myself I see the chaos and uncertainty of the horizon, whereas Zimmerman appears to deny the possibility of the world being a challenge to his sense of self. The Old Man is backhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06299949591915788184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2313427464944392482.post-46672952753776150022015-03-15T20:34:34.648+11:002015-03-15T20:34:34.648+11:00He can put the bike in the trunk of his car! ;-)He can put the bike in the trunk of his car! ;-)Nevenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15413215743703093876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2313427464944392482.post-28956492650309890892015-03-15T20:33:17.642+11:002015-03-15T20:33:17.642+11:00This comment has been removed by the author.Nevenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15413215743703093876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2313427464944392482.post-59626659084628391002015-03-15T14:12:56.441+11:002015-03-15T14:12:56.441+11:00Of course being Boulder, he should be riding a bik...Of course being Boulder, he should be riding a bike.Rattus Norvegicushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03449457204330125792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2313427464944392482.post-31494357630949862022015-03-15T14:06:29.772+11:002015-03-15T14:06:29.772+11:00My brother lives next to NCAR at Foothills and Val...My brother lives next to NCAR at Foothills and Valmont in Boulder.
