He really should be giving credit where credit is due. It's very clear that he can't have, and didn't, develop the understanding of ENSO cycles by himself (if he did anything at all). Very poor practice to not give due credit and to appear to claim that it is largely your own work. And Then Theres Physicshttp://andthentheresphysics.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2313427464944392482.post-8277764423841802082014-01-12T17:27:57.969+11:002014-01-12T17:27:57.969+11:00I think Bob has more to cover. He needs to tie it all together with both the "seminal paper" by McLean, DeFreitas and Carter 2010, where they managed to remove the warming trend to leave the second order ENSO intact, and a conjectural paper, referred to in Plimer's crank book, suggesting that ENSO is driven by variations in heat output from the Pacific mid-ocean ridge.Anthony Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02513872551156179165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2313427464944392482.post-11700980739629860872014-01-12T15:24:12.281+11:002014-01-12T15:24:12.281+11:00bob is a genius compared to this guy

He provides quite a good description of the causes and effects of El Ninos and develops quite an extensive record of historical events. Instead he shows up his Dunning-Kruger side and castigates those very same scientists who taught him all he does know.

Bob should be praising them. And he definitely should be thanking them. Especially when Bob's making money out of their original work. Their years of hard work. And they didn't charge him a penny. I actually thought some of what he described with quite good. It seem as though he at least understood something about ENSO cycles. It all went a bit downhill when he started suggesting that the warming phase could lead to long-term increases in the surface temperature though.

Admittedly, I don't know much about the details of ENSO cycles, so maybe it was all nonsense. What he described, though, seemed plausible (wrt to the ENSO cycles, but not the global warming). And Then Theres Physicshttp://andthentheresphysics.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
