Not evidence of absence...argumentum ad ignorantiam

At WUWT Anthony Watts writes that it was reported on a science-denying blog that it was reported in a science denier's column that someone somewhere didn't happen to mention global warming in a speech therefore global warming has stopped, or some such nonsense.

Crikey, he is getting hard up for denialism topics, isn't he.

  1. Sou, hope you don't mind me tossing this in here. But recently I was hit with 13 astoundingly misguided claims/questions by a chap over at Forbes' comments.

Rather than swapping opinions I decided to share educational video responses to each of his points.

If anyone wants a list of good videos to share with the easy learning crowd take a look:

  2. Yes, I noticed this post from WUWT. Ironic then that the very conference - I think - at which the speech which didn't mention global warming (or at least not sufficiently for Anthony Watts) was given, resulted in a statement that there is an urgent need for the National Government to act on climate change or leave New Zealand unprepared for the future. Strange that.

  3. The article that Willard linked has been pulled, the ex weather reader and college drop-out seems to strike out a lot lately.

For some reason the article has been removed.

Could it have been removed because it was unadulterated bull crap?
A google search for the conference listed several sites that gave a far different account than the one that Watts links.

    1. It was moved behind a paywall. The article is still there.
